We are located just 13 minutes south of Santa Barbara on Highway 101, depending on traffic. Our Carpinteria facility provides service to Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta, Summerland, Ojai, and Ventura.

Accessibility

What are the driving directions to your facility?

  • From the Santa Barbara area, drive south on 101 and take the Bailard exit (in Carpinteria). After exiting, at the top-of-the-ramp stop sign, turn left over the 101 freeway. Then, at the first street (Via Real), turn right and drive about 1/4 mile to our site, located on the left side of the street.

  • From the south of Carpinteria, drive north on 101 and take the Bailard exit. After exiting, turn right and at the first street (Via Real), again turn right and drive 1/4 mile to our facility, located on the left side of the street.

Hours of operation

When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week, year round (with the exception of major holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You have daily gate access from 7 AM to 6 PM; our office is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Security

How do you provide security at your facility?

Our nine acre property is completely fenced. In addition, we have 24 hour on site resident managers, security cameras, and coded access gates. We also check locks on all storage units each day.

 

Do I need to provide a lock?

We provide a lock and key for each unit.

Insurance

Do you provide insurance?

We do not provide insurance for stored items, since we are unaware of all storage units' contents. It is the customer's responsibility to have adequate insurance for personal property. However, as a service to you, we can provide the name of an insurance company that specializes in insuring storage items.

Rent duration

Do I have to commit to a minimum rental time?

Yes, there is a minimum rental term of one month. You may move out anytime after your first month's rental with any charges due on a prorated basis.

 

Do I need to give a 30-day notice to move out?

Contractually, you are asked to give a written notice of termination (“moving out”) at least seven days prior to the end of your billing period. When you are completely moved out, you need to come to the office, fill out a vacate form, and turn in your key, if you have a lock provided by us.

Billing

Do you invoice each month?

We do not bill; your rent is due monthly on the date of your original move-in. Self-addressed envelopes are provided for your convenience at move-in or whenever you come into the office.

 

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, debit cards (with Visa or MasterCard insignia), and credit cards (with American Express, Visa or Mastercard insignia). Credit and debit cards can be scheduled for automatic billing. Also, you may pay online (through our website).

Online Payment and Privacy Policies
What are your online payment policies?

 

Refund Policy

All rent is due on the same day each month, coinciding with the initial move-in date. No refunds or prorated rent are offered during the first month's rental. After the first month's rental, if a unit is occupied on or after the rent due date for the coming month, another month's full rent is due. When a move-out occurs, after a minimum of one month's rental, refunded rent for the current month will be prorated. The original deposit fee will be refunded if the storage unit has sustained no damage, is "broom clean" and all items have been removed at move-out.

 

Online Privacy Policy

We collect from you only the personal information you voluntarily provide in order for us to deliver the best possible service. If you choose to process an online payment or reservation, we ask you to provide us with information necessary to process your order including, but not limited to: name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, email address, company name, title credit card number, expiration date, and storage unit number. We collect your email address so that we can send you information about your transaction and its status. The credit card information that is collected is used strictly for billing purposes.

 

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell or share information with anyone else.

 

Changes to Online Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Online Privacy Policy at any time. Accordingly, we recommend that you revisit our Online Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure that you are aware of the current privacy practices. Renting procedures

What do I need to bring with me to rent a unit?

You will need to bring a picture ID (such as your driver's license), the first month's rent, and a $25 deposit.

Do you have upstairs and downstairs storage units?

Yes, we have downstairs units (some are in hallways but the majority of units are available directly from your vehicle). We also have 2nd floor storage units, all accessible with freight elevators. Each elevator has a storage cart available for your moving needs.
